Connectors are wrappers around a third party product and typically use an API to communicate with the product. Connectors can typically run In Cloud or at a DropPoint.

Connector releases are managed as the third party product vendor updates their product. One of the design objectives when creating Connectors is to ensure that the the wrapper is as light as possible and does not occlude the behavior of the underlying API. This enables developers who are already familiar with the third party product to quickly get an integration functional using the Flowgear Connector.
