Connection
| Property | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
ServerUrl |

Site |
String | Site name from /site/name in the browser URL. Empty for the Server default site. |
TokenName |
String | Exact name assigned when creating the personal access token. |
Secret |
Masked | Personal access token secret. |
ApiVersion |
String | Supported REST API version. Default 3.17 supports Tableau Server 2022.3 and later, and Tableau Cloud. |
Session |
Masked | Managed automatically. Leave empty when configuring a new connection. |
Setup Notes
This Node supports Cloud and Local Runtimes.
Create a Tableau personal access token. Enter the server or Cloud pod origin in ServerUrl, the site content name in Site, and the exact TokenName and Secret. Leave Session empty for a new Connection. Test access before selecting an operation.
Use a separate personal access token for each independently configured Flowgear Connection or external application. Tableau allows only one session per token; signing in elsewhere can invalidate an active session. The Node coordinates renewal through its Connection and retries an explicit HTTP 401 once.

Usage Notes
- Query lists projects, workbooks, views or published data sources using automatic paging and provider-shaped rows.
- Refresh queues a workbook or data-source extract refresh and returns immediately. Use Retrieve with the returned job ID to inspect completion.
- Download returns a CSV stream for the selected view. Dispose the output stream when finished.
- Each operation requires the Tableau permissions of the token owner. Refresh can fail when RunNow is disabled or the resource has no refreshable extract.
- Use an HTTPS origin. Browser paths, reverse-proxy path prefixes and redirects are unsupported.
