WordPress v2

Provides integration with WordPress.com, a hosted publishing platform for sites, posts, pages, and related content, including eligible Jetpack-connected sites.

Use the Node to discover accessible sites, query or retrieve content, and create, update, or delete posts, pages, categories, and tags.

Revision History

0.0.0.7 - Updated Runtime compatibility.
0.0.0.1 - Initial release.

Connection

Property Type Description
Client ID String WordPress.com application client identifier used for account authorization.
Client Secret Masked Application client secret.
Access Token Masked User access token supplied directly or obtained through account authorization.
Authorize All Sites Boolean Enable for listSites and reconnect to request global access. Defaults to single-site authorization.

Setup Notes

This Node supports Cloud and Local Runtimes and uses the WordPress.com REST API v1.1. Register the exact callback URL for your WordPress.com application, enter the client credentials, and complete Connect your account. Alternatively, supply a user Access Token. Client credentials alone cannot authorize operations.

For site discovery, enable Authorize All Sites, reconnect, and save the Connection. This requests the global OAuth scope; changing the checkbox alone does not upgrade a token. With this option enabled, the Connection test checks site discovery as well as account access. Without it, a successful test does not establish permission to list every site.

For a single-site Workflow, supply the exact site ID or domain directly and skip site discovery. Reconnect when a token becomes invalid or revoked; this Node does not use a refresh-token grant.

Methods

Query

Lists supported posts, pages, categories, tags, or accessible sites. Pagination is automatic.

Parameter Type Description
Connection Connection Connection used to authenticate the operation.
OperationId String Operation selected by the template. Select a template to populate this value.
Options Object Provider route values and supported query filters. Set site to the exact site ID/domain; use positive numeric post IDs and category/tag slugs where required.
Return Type Description
Response Array One provider object per collection item, without Flowgear metadata or outer paging metadata. No matches return zero rows. The first page is read before output streaming; later pages load on demand.

Retrieve

Retrieves one supported account, site, post, page, category, or tag.

Response Array The provider resource without added Flowgear metadata. The read completes during invocation startup.

Create

Creates a post, page, category, or tag. Posts and pages default to draft when status is absent; explicitly choose another status to publish.

Items Array One provider record per request. Per-item route selectors override Options. For Delete, disconnected Items executes once against the explicit Options target; an empty connected stream performs no writes.
Return Type Description
Response Array Provider fields plus Flowgear.IsSuccess, Flowgear.StatusMessage, and the original item in Flowgear.Request. Check every result for provider business rejections.

Update

Updates the selected content. Omitted fields remain unchanged. Empty category or tag arrays clear the assignment.

Return Type Description
Response Array Provider fields plus Flowgear.IsSuccess, Flowgear.StatusMessage, and the original item in Flowgear.Request. Check every result for provider business rejections.

Delete

Deletes the selected post, page, category, or tag. A post or page may be trashed first and permanently deleted on repetition; inspect the returned status before repeating.

Usage Notes

  • Select a template to configure an operation. Account lookup and site discovery can use unmapped Options.
  • Preserve exact provider field names and route values. Map category/tag arrays from upstream data or a parsed JSON array.
  • When upgrading from before 0.0.0.3, reapply templates to replace saved complex Values with child Properties.
  • The first mutation item is processed before output streaming begins; remaining items are processed as results are consumed.
  • Provider business rejections return failed rows. Authorization, server, malformed-response, transport, and cancellation failures stop the operation. Writes are not retried automatically.

Known Issues

Generic self-hosted /wp-json/wp/v2 APIs and application-password authentication are not supported. Media, comments, custom post types/taxonomies, restore, bulk endpoints, plugins, themes, and hosting operations are not exposed. Transport paging controls and arbitrary endpoints cannot be supplied through Options.
