MCP Screen v2
Open MCP from the main navigation to configure the two Flowgear MCP surfaces: Builder MCP for authoring Workflows and Workflow MCP for exposing published Workflows as tools.
The page includes a collapsed What is MCP? explanation and links to the shared MCP help.
Builder MCP panel
Builder MCP is pinned to the Test Environment because its Tools can create, Debug, and save Workflows.
The panel shows:
- A copyable coding-agent setup prompt containing the Test Environment's
/mcp/builderURL. This is the primary setup path. - A collapsed manual setup section with
CodexandClaude Codetabs and copyable commands. - An authentication reminder.
- A link to Builder MCP help.
When the Test Environment has no hostname, Console shows a placeholder and prevents copying a usable setup value. Configure and provision the Environment hostname before registering a client.
Workflow MCP panel
The Workflow MCP panel targets the Environment selected in its dropdown. It shows:
- The copyable
https://<environment-hostname>/mcpURL. Open Site settingsfor hostname and origin configuration.- A five-step prerequisite checklist.
ChatGPTandClaudeclient setup tabs.- An authorization reminder and
Open API keysaction. - The eligible MCP Workflow table.
Selecting an Environment without a hostname raises a warning. The hostname, published Workflow, status, and authorization must all refer to the same Environment.
MCP-enabled Workflows table
The table lists Workflow name and description, tool name, selected-Environment status, modified date, modified user, and a designer action.
Search matches Workflow name, description, or tool name. Sort by Workflow, tool name, status, modified date, or modified user. Use Refresh to reload current eligible Workflows.
The status switch enables or disables the Workflow in the selected Environment when you have permission. A missing status is shown as Disabled. The switch is unavailable while an update is pending, when no Environment is selected, or without status-management permission.
The designer action opens the Workflow in a new tab and is disabled without design access. Without Workflow-list permission, the table shows a permission state rather than Workflow identities.
