Workflow Designer Keyboard Shortcuts v2
The designer shortcuts use Ctrl on Windows and Linux and Command on macOS unless a row says otherwise. A focused text editor normally keeps standard text-editing behavior instead of invoking a Canvas action.
Workflow actions
| Shortcut | Action |

Ctrl/Command + Enter |
Run the current design, or Stop while it is starting or running. |

Ctrl + Y |

Escape |
Cancel the active drag or connection gesture, leave Select mode, clear selection, or step back from Property edit mode according to the active context. |
Delete or Backspace |
Delete a Property or Step while that item is being dragged; during connection reconnection, remove the original connection. |
Copy, cut, and paste require browser clipboard access. They do nothing to Steps when a text input is focused.
Selection and connection gestures
Shift+ click adds or removes a Step subtree from the current selection.- Hold
CtrlorCommandwhile starting or completing a connection gesture to keep the original connection and add another compatible target where the current gesture permits it. - Releasing
CtrlorCommand, pressingEscape, or leaving the browser window ends a sticky connection gesture.
Use the visible connection highlight and target compatibility state as the authority. A matching socket does not guarantee that an arbitrary runtime value or Connection key will resolve.
Editing fields and dialogs
Enter commonly applies a name or adds a valid Property in the active editor. Escape closes a dropdown, cancels a draft, or first removes focus before leaving a structure-edit session.
Undo is intentionally inactive while inference review is open. Full-screen Property editors retain their own text undo behavior and do not expose the Workflow history underneath them.
Browser, operating-system, clipboard, and focused-editor shortcuts can take precedence. Use the corresponding button when a shortcut is unavailable.
Add step search
While focus is in Add step search, Up/Down highlight selectable results. Tab first highlights a result and then selects the highlighted result on the next press. Enter selects only after a row is highlighted. Shift+Tab keeps normal reverse focus navigation. See Add Step Pane.
