Enable and Disable a Workflow v2

Workflow status controls whether each Environment can start the published Workflow. It is separate from saving, publishing, and designer Debug.

Before you begin

Confirm that:

  • The required revision is published to the target Environment.
  • You can access that Environment and change the Workflow interface.
  • Its Connections and Cluster are ready for published execution.

Change status from the Workflows screen

  1. Open Workflows from the main navigation and select the Workflows and folders you want to change. Folder selection includes the Workflows inside those folders.
  2. Click Set status to open Set Workflow status.
  3. Choose the target Environment. The dialog initially selects the lowest-ranked Environment you can access.
  4. Select Enabled or Disabled and review the Workflow list and initial statuses.
  5. Click Enable in <Environment> or Disable in <Environment> and review each Workflow's result.

This action requires permission to write Workflows and list Environments. Only v2 Runtime Workflows participate; the dialog reports how many v1 Runtime Workflows were excluded from a mixed selection.

The initial status is a snapshot from the Workflow list. The result tells you whether this batch set the requested status or failed. Even if the initial status already matches your choice, the batch submits the requested status again. Changing status does not publish a revision, so enabling a Workflow with no published revision does not make it runnable.

Click Stop to stop starting further requests, or close the dialog to stop the batch. Requests already in progress can still finish, and completed changes remain in place. Review the results before closing; after resolving a failure, select the affected Workflows and try again. The batch is not a single transaction.

Change status from the landing screen

  1. Open Workflows and select the Workflow.
  2. Find Workflow Status.
  3. Locate the target Environment.
  4. Click Enable or Disable.
  5. Wait for the Environment badge to show the new state.

Other status controls

You can make the same Environment-specific change from:

  • The top-right status switch in the designer for the selected Environment.
  • The status switch on an Environment row in Manage releases.
  • The Workflow list on the MCP screen for the selected Environment.
