Local Cluster - Install

Install a Flowgear local Cluster on a Windows machine.

Prerequisites

• A Windows machine with administrator privileges.
• Outbound access to port 443 from the machine.
• A local Cluster registered in the Flowgear Console. See Create a local Cluster.

Step 1: Download the installer

In the Flowgear Console, open Local Clusters, and then click Download local Cluster installer.

Step 2: Run the installer

1. Run the downloaded installer.
2. Allow the installer to make changes when Windows User Account Control prompts you.
3. Click Next and complete the installation wizard.

The installer:

• Installs the local Cluster application files.
• Registers the FlowgearLocalRuntime Windows service.
• Adds the Flowgear Local Runtime Setup shortcut to the Start menu.

Step 3: Complete setup

After installation, run the setup tool to configure the local Cluster and start its Windows service.
