Local Clusters Screen v2

Open Local Clusters to register, inspect, configure, export, or remove Clusters for the current Site.

Explorer

Search matches Cluster name, key, or description. Filter by Online or Offline, switch explorer layout, select items, refresh, or download the current list as CSV.

Each Cluster shows aggregate Host status, trusted-certificate state, Host count, name, key, and description. Online means at least one Host is currently online; a mixed Host state should still be investigated from the detail page.

Explorer actions

Available actions depend on Cluster permissions:

New local Cluster opens a blank detail page.
Download installer downloads the current local Cluster Host installer when available.
Rename updates a selected Cluster name.
Delete removes selected Cluster registrations after confirmation.
Download config.json, in a Cluster's menu, exports that Cluster's Host configuration.

Certificates are managed only on the Cluster's detail page.

The empty state links to Cluster creation and can provide the installer download.

Create and detail fields

The Details section contains:

Field	Behaviour
`Name`	Required display name.
`Description`	Optional operational context.

Page actions can include Save changes, Delete, Download installer, Relationships, and Audit trail.

Detail page layout

After first save, the detail page has two columns. On a narrow window, the Hosts column stacks underneath.

The left column contains Details and Certificate. The right column contains the Hosts heading with a refresh button, the setup section, and the Host list.

Certificate

When no certificate is trusted, the Certificate section shows No trusted certificate and contains:

Candidate certificates: certificates that the Flowgear Local Cluster Manager app has sent for this Cluster. Each row shows the shortened thumbprint with a copy button, the last submitted time, the subject, and the hours left before the candidate expires, or Expired. Search by thumbprint or subject, click Refresh candidates to reload the list, click Trust to trust an unexpired candidate, or remove one or more candidates. A Cluster can hold up to five candidates, including expired ones.
Upload a certificate manually: a collapsed section for uploading a .cer file from a Host that cannot send its certificate from the app.

Trust opens the Trust certificate dialog, which only enables Trust once you paste a thumbprint that matches the candidate exactly.

When a certificate is trusted, the section shows its thumbprint with a copy button and a Remove certificate action, which requires delete permission. Removing the certificate prevents every Host in the Cluster from connecting until a new certificate is trusted.

Setup section

Set up this Cluster appears when the Cluster has no Hosts, or no trusted certificate. It lists the steps to download the installer, paste the Cluster's config.json into the Flowgear Local Cluster Manager app, and trust the certificate. The config.json appears in a code view with copy and download buttons.
Add a Host appears when the Cluster has Hosts and a trusted certificate. It lists the steps to export the trusted certificate with its private key from an existing Host, import it on the new machine, install, and configure the new Host.

The section is open when the Cluster has no Hosts and collapsed when it has some.

Hosts and metrics

Each Host card shows its online state, identity, version, and resource charts. Select a Host to open its detail page, which displays machine name, IP address, runtime Version, and time-range metrics.

The Cluster detail badge summarizes Host state.

Permissions and safety

List, read, write, and delete Cluster permissions independently gate the relevant surfaces. Before deleting a Cluster or removing its trusted certificate, review relationships and every Workflow or Connection placed on the Cluster.
