Chats Screen

Use Chats for an Assistant conversation about the current Site, without opening a Workflow in the designer. Ask a Flowgear question, describe an integration you want to build, or discuss an existing problem. The conversation can include questions, tool results, and requests for you to choose an option or a Connection.

Open Chats

  1. Select the required Site using the Site button.
  2. Open Chats from the main navigation.
  3. Check the Environment notice above the message field.
  4. Enter your question or describe the result you want, then send the message.

Chats uses the Site's Test Environment. You need access to that Environment, and Assistant requests remain subject to the required Site permissions. Selecting another Environment elsewhere in the Console does not retarget this conversation to Production.

If Test Environment unavailable appears, ask your Site administrator for access. If Unable to load Environments appears, refresh the page to try again. Sending is unavailable until the Environment has loaded.

Work with the conversation

Describe the systems involved, the expected inputs and outputs, and whether an operation may change external data. If the Assistant asks for an option, select the appropriate choice and confirm it. If it asks for a Connection, review how that Connection will be used before selecting it. A Connection choice supplies its identity and contract without exposing protected credential values to the Assistant.

The conversation shows messages and tool progress. Complete or cancel an outstanding interactive request before sending another message. Use the stop control to cancel active Assistant work. Stopping does not undo an external operation that has already completed.

You can scroll back through earlier messages while a response arrives. Use the jump-to-latest control to return to the newest activity.

Start a new conversation or leave

Click New chat to clear the current conversation and draft and start again. Keep any information you need before resetting it.

When you leave an active chat, the Console warns that the conversation and any unsent message will be lost. Staying on the page keeps them available. Chats does not provide a saved conversation list for recovering earlier sessions after leaving or reloading.

Work on a Workflow design

Chats has Site context; it is not attached to an open Workflow canvas. To ask the Assistant to inspect and propose changes to a particular design, open that Workflow and select its Assistant view. The Workflow Assistant guide explains the v2 Runtime design flow, including reviewing a proposed Workflow, accepting it, testing it, and saving it.
